Jamari Rose
Community Organizer (Brooklyn & Staten Island)
ABOUT JAMARI
Jamari Rose, who also goes by Jay is the CTC Community Organizer for Brooklyn and Staten Island. In his role, Jamari connects communities to resources that will support youth and families. He was interested in the Community Engagement team because he is passionate about advocating for the vital needs of underserved communities and is passionate about reformative action in regards to mental health services. Working in the Foundling since 2019, he did not have a background in social work but quickly realized that it was the career for him! In the future, her hopes to own his own business, while continuing to help out his community.
Jamari who grew up in Queens, attended Campus Magnet high school in Cambria heights. He later earned a BFA in Graphic Design from Monmouth University, and has certificates in First-Aid, CPR and even bartending! As self-care is very important to him, cooking, watching shows, and listening to music are some the ways he stays grounded.
