Sheniqua Roberts
Community Organizer (Bronx & Northern Manhattan)

ABOUT SHENIQUA
As a CTC Community Organizer, Sheniqua engages community members, nonprofit leaders, and other stakeholders in the Bronx and Northern Manhattan in developing coalitions to better support their communities. She joined the Community Engagement team because she is passionate about Advocacy and this position allows her to network and support communities that want to improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods. Sheniqua joined the Foundling because of its diversity, and she believes the organization is moving in the right direction towards strengthening communities that are struggling. In the future, she aims to pursue a Master’s in Public Administration, and work towards serving a subset of foster youth who need immediate temporary assistance through advocacy.
Sheniqua, who is originally from the Harlem and now lives in the Bronx, is currently getting her Bachelor’s in Political Science from Lehman College. To de-stress from work, she enjoys traveling, cooking a nice dinner, or having a game night with loved ones. Her role models are Malcolm X due to his influence in Harlem and her African American history professor at BMCC, Professor Drabo. Sheniqua connected with Professor Drabo because she really helped her understand her identity as a young woman of color and always pushed her students to strive for more!
