Family Peer Advisor
As a Family Peer Advisor, Simone helps families get the support they need. As a parent with a child on the autism spectrum, she is driven to share her experiences and support other families in overcoming their own challenges and obstacles. She is inspired by The Foundling’s history and legacy, and how it has grown to assist children and families across New York City. She is committed to continuing in the advocacy field, and hopes to start her own program for parents in low-income communities.
Simone is from Harlem, and attended Louis D Brandeis High School. She received her degree from CUNY City College, and also holds Family Peer Advocate, Mental Health First Aid, and Family Development Leadership credentials. Now living in the Bronx, she enjoys reading and relaxing with a good face mask. Her role models are Sonia Sotomayor and Michelle Obama.
