Mental Health & Parent Support Trainings

The New York Foundling has been funded by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to offer no-cost trainings in parenting models and interventions to staff in family-serving community-based organizations. This includes trainings geared for social workers, counselors, therapists, peer advocates and other professionals focused on  improving outcomes for families and youth in their communities. Based on a community-led assessment and continued yearly assessments, we will be offering evidence-based practices that address community protective and risk factors. In addition, we are offering other trainings to support with implementing parenting interventions. Browse below for current offerings. Parenting Journey Training and Implementation Support

The New York Foundling has been funded by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to offer trainings in parenting models and interventions to staff in family-serving community-based organizations. Based on a community-led assessment and continued yearly assessments, we will be offering evidence-based practices that address community protective and risk factors.

This year, we are offering training in the Parenting Journey Training Model between April-July 2023. Those that go through are trainings will also be given implementation support throughout June 2024. If you are interested in this training model, click below to apply.
