ABOUT KHRISTIAN
Khristian comes with an extensive professional background following his Bachelors (BA) in criminology from John Jay and current pursuit of a Masters in Social Work from LIU. Prior to this position, was employed as a Senior Mentor at the Adolescent Mentoring Program & Fair Futures, which provided preventive mentoring services to Volunteer Youth/Foster care Youth with a high chance of becoming truant/juvenile. In that role he supported them with building their skills, get through school and find employment.
As a resident of Clinton Hill, Brooklyn for over 20 years; Khristian has volunteered supporting many community- local programs from Healthy Families & Food Pantry, Brooklyn Women’s shelter systems producing care packages and toiletries and helping out neighborhood family businesses. Shown through years of his work in youth development, Khristian is passionate about involving himself in the community and wants to make an impact on marginalized youth at a large scale. He feels as though this role will allow him to make a bigger impact through advocacy and systemic changes.
