ABOUT NUSRAT

Nusrat “Nussy” Alam is a Family Peer Advisor with a passion for empathy, multicultural awareness, and personal development. Raised in Queens, NY in a Bangladeshi family, she brings both lived experience and professional expertise into her work supporting advocates, families, and communities.

An ICF-certified coach and Stony Brook University alum, Nussy joined The Foundling to expand her training and facilitation skills while continuing to create meaningful spaces for connection and growth. Inspired by her father’s resilience and ability to overcome adversity, she is committed to helping others navigate challenges with perspective and support.

Outside of work, Nussy enjoys creative expression, self-development, and finding ways to recharge through community, wellness, and reflection.
