Viviane Ouedraogo serves as a Vice President at The New York Foundling, where she leads and advances community-based, family-strengthening initiatives through the Strong Families and Communities (SFC) Center. Her work focuses on prevention, workforce development, fatherhood engagement, and evidence-informed services that support family stability and community well-being. She is recognized for her strengths in organizational development, partnership building, and accountable program leadership.
Her commitment to community advocacy began during her undergraduate years, when she led student organizations focused on cultural awareness and inclusion. As a first-generation college graduate and the daughter of parents from Burkina Faso, she maintains strong cultural roots and a service-centered perspective shaped by her heritage and lived experience in her community. This foundation continues to inform her work in equity, advocacy, and community empowerment.
Born in the United States and raised in the Bronx, Viviane currently lives in New Jersey, where she actively engages in civic and community activities. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Theatre from Buffalo State College and a master’s in Mental Health Counseling from LIU Brooklyn. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-D) in New York State. Beyond her professional and community involvement, she enjoys traveling, exploring nature, and spending time with family and close friends.
